A Christmas Carol is a Full Length Play
Purchasing a performance license entitles you to one public performance. The amount of licenses being purchased should match the total number of planned performances. These licenses are independent of script sales, and scripts must be purchased separately from the licenses. If another performance is added at a later date, an additional performance license must be purchased. Performance licenses are offered at 3 different rates: $29 per Short Play performance; $59 per One-Act Play performance, and $99 per Full-Length Play performance.
One-Act Play and Full-Length Play Performance Licenses do not include the right to produce a recording of your production. To record your One-Act or Full-Length, an additional Recording License must be purchased.
Please double check to confirm that you are purchasing the correct amount of performances and that you have selected the appropriate performance rate for your production.
If you would like to post your institution’s recording on social media or video sharing platforms, please purchase a recording license from us to be sure that the playwrights get fairly compensated. It’s our philosophy as a publishing company that recordings of our plays help spread the word about us, so 100% of recording royalties go directly to the playwrights, instead of splitting them with us. Our collection of Short Plays may be recorded without the purchase of a recording license.
To post a recording of one of our plays, it is required that the Title of the Play and the Author’s Name are included in the video’s title line, and the words, “Recorded by special arrangement with Theatrethical Publishing,” must be included in the video’s description.
